The fair offers something for everyone! Food seems to have taken over as the biggest attraction with almost everything under the sun available fried and on a stick. If you are dieting, the fair is not a recommended place to go. There are the farm exhibits which actually were the basis for the fair in the beginning. The have all types of equipment and then there are the farm animals and even petting zoos for the little ones. There are the arts and crafts exhibits, 4-H, and many other exhibits. If you are looking for entertainment, there is the Midway where you can get your fill on the rides, the coliseum that has different shows and the Grand Stand featuring different big name concerts.
How do you get to the fair? You can drive but if you are not early, parking can be rough, you can take public transportation or you can take one of the fair shuttles that run all day and into the night from various locations around the Twin Cities.
Want discounted tickets? You can purchase them at different locations before the fair starts and there are different promotional days offering discounts to certain groups.
