This weekend, July 20-22 is the 29th annual Highland Fest! The art fair has, however, been going on for 45 years! About 65,000 people are expected this weekend so it is a good sized festival. The festival has something for everyone!
The art fair is a central attraction at the Highland Fest! Stroll among the booths to see displays of jewelry, pottery, paintings, photography, sculpture and much more.
There will be live music the entire weekend on 2 separate stages! Admission is free but seating is limited and is on a first come first serve basis.
Another big favorite is the craft-brew tasting. The Beer Dabbler is on Saturday from 1-5pm and you will need a ticket to get in. Along with beer tasting of some 200+ beers they offer beer education, gourmet food trucks, games and activities.
Other fun things to do at the Highland Fest are the 5k run on Sunday morning, the strongman competition, amusement rides, a business expo, home improvement expo and, of course, lots of food. On Friday and Saturday nights there will also be a fireworks show at dusk.
You can drive to Highland Fest – bike and leave your bike in a safe and free bike corral or take metro transit – visit the website to download a free ticket.
No matter when you go or what you choose to do, it promises to be a very fun event!
