Are we having some great weather this spring or what? Even though it is so warm and sunny, it is still too early to get out and plant flowers. One way to cure this urge is to head on down to the annual Macy’s Flower Show which is held in just 5 different cities! Bachmans, a big local florist will be providing the flowers for this show. The theme this year is Gardens of Paradise a show featuring the tropical plants and flowers from Brazil. The show is open during store hours in the 8th floor auditorium of the Downtown Minneapolis Macy’s store and runs from March 25th to April 7th and is expected to draw some 65,000 people.
One of the popular events in the show this year with be the bouquet of the day where several of Bachman’s top floral designers will be designing a different bouquet to feature each day of the show.
The show will also take special care to feature many plants and flowers that you can even grow here in Minnesota. Bachman’s master gardeners will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have and there will also be some landscaping demonstrations.
Macy’s itself will be offering special designer fashion shows, cooking and baking demonstrations and for the kids, a special kids book event as well as breakfast with the Easter bunny!
If you are hungry the Oak Grill will be offering some special South American menu items for you to sample.
