New Year’s Eve is just around the corner which brings up the question of what should I do? Stay in, go out? If I go out, where should I go? If you are looking for fun things to do I have compiled a list of some of the attractions around the Twin Cities.
First and foremost, if you are out celebrating, be responsible and don’t drink and drive. Have a designated driver, call a cab or the MTC is offering free public transportation all night compliments of Miller Lite to get you home safely.
If you are the outdoors type, Buck Hill is offering one big bash with skiing, snowboarding and tubing until midnight, food, bands, face painting and more. At midnight they will be having a giant fireworks show! If skating is more your thing you can skate at the Minneapolis Depot rink or the St. Paul Rice Park rink until 1 am.
The Mystic Lake Casino is another place to party in the New Year. You can spend the night at their hotel with a New Year’s package or enjoy the evening and go home to your own bed. They have some super deals on their buffet, Wynonna is playing this year among other shows. Reserve early as it will fill up fast.
For those that like to celebrate with a nice meal, here is a list of restaurants that are offering New Years specials. Once again, you will need to have a reservation at most restaurants.
There are too many events going on to list so check here for a larger list of what is happening on New Year’s Eve in the Twin Cities!
